Airline Pilot Outreach – Mr.Lanza

Today we hosted a major airline pilot to come and talk with us.  He showed us lots of cool pictures of different airplanes and the controls inside them.  We learned there are different paths to become a pilot like the military and learning in college. We also learned about a day in the life and what tasks pilots do, as well as safety pilots have and the requirements. We also learned about the safety precaution that has been implemented since 9/11.  Learning and training is expensive but the pay and benefits are high and similar to other high-paying STEM careers.
